Field surveys were conducted to identify the location and distribution of the exotic and invasive plant Arundo donax within the Carpinteria Creek watershed riparian zone. Other exotic plant species were also identified and marked with GPS locations. A short report was produced for the Community Environmental Council outlining the survey findings. Fortunately, the Arundo appears to be confined to the lower watershed and much of it is currently being removed.
